This Summer everything looks dirty to me for some reason.
Maybe we’ve finally reached the point of perma-dust here; a permanent Instagram filter that’s on top of everything.
I’ve grown tired of the season hallmarks.
the generic jazz festivals with the same mix of bands every time – it’s either fifteen minute long sax solos if the band is a straight jazz band or fifteen minute long percussion solos if it’s one of those “Middle East meets North Africa meets Asia Minor” bands
The generic electro-funk-rock festivals playing the same kind of party music every year, regardless of who the band or DJ is.
The more I think about it the clearer it gets: the feeling that Summer here is one long brand-sponsored event, as soulless as the plastic paper of the broschure it’s advertised on.
